We had the best intentions to do some actual trick or treating this year. The plan was to hit a house in our neighborhood, go to mom and dad's house and do some trick or treating in their neighborhood. We stopped by the first house and Sam freaked out a little bit when they opened the door. We figured it was because she was dressed up and had a big afro on. He warmed up and helped himself to candy.
We then headed toward my parent's house. We got Sam out of the car and he waited patiently at the door. When grandma opened the door, Sam freaked out big time. We are still trying to figure that one out. With those two experiences under our belt, we decided to cut the rest of the trick or treating out this time around.
By the end of the night, Sam would run to the door with grandma to check out all the other kids. He would talk to them and say "Trick or Treat." Granted, he had it a little backwards, but that is okay. He was still mighty cute nonetheless.

Whenever he happens to see a piece of candy around the house or a wrapper, Sam instantly holds it up and says "Trick or Treat."
