We're Not Ashamed

So, as part of any good parent's lives, we resorted to bribery in order to help encourage our son to become completely potty trained. The good news.....(at least in part) it worked! Back at Christmastime, one of Sam's friends got an Artic Cat power wheels for her birthday. He was enamored with it. Santa considered bringing it to him and then mom and dad had a stroke of "brilliance." The deal was if Sam could go to the potty all by himself and wear underwear all the time, even at night, he would earn his Artic Cat.

We are proud to say that the time finally came last week where we delivered on our promise! It couldn't have come at a better time, especially with Baby Isaac on the way in less than a month.

Chris assembled the prize possession the night before and hid it away in the garage till he could get home the next afternoon. When he got home, we had the unveiling of the surprise.

The one slight issue was that in the excitement of unveiling the Artic Cat, Chris forgot to put the battery in. We had to take a quick time out to do a quick pit stop.

Our back yard has a slight hill. We quickly figured out that we have to put some weight in the bed of the Artic Cat. Until then, Sam decided he could push it up the hill.

Checking out the decals and tires.

All in all, Sam loves his new toy and asks to drive it a lot....even though the learning curve is a little steep and he gets pretty frustrated when something doesn't work right the first time out. I foresee a wonderful Spring and Summer with the new Artic Cat!
