Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Our second port of call was St. Thomas. We didn't plan any "official" excursions. We found a taxi driver to take us to the top of the mountain to see the sights. This day was a lot of "fun" with a 5 year old who was not too keen on "seeing sights."

You will notice that Sam is beginning to show a little bit of attitude here.
This was the first of about 4 stops on the way up the mountain.

Happy faces.

He started to cheer up when he saw pirates. This is his pirate face.

Beautiful island.

He had to have pictures taken with every fake pirate we encountered.

Our driver took us to one of Blackbeard's castle/lookout spots on the island.
This was definitely the highlight for Sam!

The skinny spiral staircase we climbed up to see the top.

Walking around the ship.

The Royal Promenade. The rainbow bridge was a big hit with the boys.

Pirate night. The big kids got to be a part of a pirate parade.
Sam made his own bandana and yes....more face paint.

Bedtime!
