Sam's preschool class made the journey to the zoo for their annual spring field trip. It was a bit chilly out and I kind of failed in dressing him (and me) for the big event. He still had a great time even though it was cold.
The kids got maps of the zoo (even though he had been there many, many times before he HAD to have one). Here he is showing me where we need to go first.
All the kiddos from his class checking out the zebras.
Yes, my son is that much taller than the rest of his class.
The zoo assigned each class from our school a docent (someone to show us the zoo and tell us all about the zoo). Our docent introduced herself as Ms. Irene. I immediately knew who she was. She was my 4th and 5th grade elementary school teacher, Ms. Archambault (yes, I can STILL remember how to spell her last name). Some things you don't loose after 25ish years). Sam immediately took to her and was her best buddy ALL DAY LONG! He held her hand and asked tons of questions. She hadn't changed much from what I remember of her. We were able to catch up on a lot of things during our journey through the zoo. It was a nice surprise to run into her and be able to introduce her to my oldest!
Sam and Ms. Archambault at the end of our day at the zoo.
If you are a Glencliff alum, don't be surprised if you run into this special lady at the zoo on one of your visits!
