Yesterday was our first day of snow this winter. On the way home from school, Sam said it is Christmastime. Boy, have we got our kids messed up with this snow/Christmas combination. I hate to burst his bubble, but here in Nashville odds of snow on Christmas are a RARE sighting. He loved to see the snow coming down. I let him go out on the back deck for a few minutes yesterday afternoon. He went straight to the snow that had fallen on the table and it went straight to his mouth. "Momma, I like to taste the snow. Snow is good." It's the smallest things like this that make me smile.

This is about the hardest it snowed. Don't let it deceive you though, there was MAYBE 1/4 of an inch of snow on our deck when all was said and done.

A kid at heart!

Gently telling Sam that he should not eat any more snow from the table if we want to have snow cream. He was quickly depleting our supply quickly. Needless to say, we never got enough to make the coveted snack. Maybe later this winter.
