Sam was more interested in gnawing on the easter basket than letting me take a cute picture of him WITH the basket. I'm surprised he didn't actually break any of the eggs.

Sam is trying to figure out what the Easter Bunny left at grandma's house for him.
Easter is one of my absolute favorite holidays. We had a fun weekend. To kick things off, we made the trek to Crossville on Friday since Chris and I had the day off. We got to spend some good time with little granny and big granny, aunt Misty and cousin Willie. Friday night, I talked Chris into dying Easter eggs (only to destroy them and make deviled eggs on Saturday). Chris asked me time and time again...why are we doing this only to destroy them?? I meant to do it earlier in the week so we could enjoy them longer, but time got away from me. I had to get them ready for pictures--Sam's first Easter and all :) My husband is such a good sport about this stuff!
Sunday, we went to church with my parents and spent the rest of the day with them. We had a great time with the family. I'm looking forward to the next couple years when we can do all the stuff I remember doing growing up...Easter egg hunts, dying eggs, stuff like that. Right now, we just do the stuff and pose Sam for the picture opportunity :-) Hopefully he will have as much fun as I did growing up with all this stuff.

He gets cuter by the day!!! I read the blog about Bella... if it helps, dog's mouths are supposed to be cleaner than human mouths and think about how we kiss each other :) In a few months she'll be kissing you on the face and you'll love it as much as Sam does :)
Have I said this before: Sam looks so much like his Daddy! He's a cutie!
