In planning a gift for Sam, Chris and I settled on a Lego table for him. I have seen them for sale, but what fun is it just to buy a tble when you are creative enough to make your own? Chris was game for the challenge of building a fantastic Lego table for Sam (and later Isaac). We started the internet search for some quality ideas. I found this one as a starting point. Chris built the entire table by himself. My contribution was buying the lego base plates and painting the table before he put the finishing touches on it.
We went through a lot of different designs and sizes before settling on the final product. He added a rolling cart that holds 6 bins for all the little Legos that we have already amassed. He did an excellent job on the table and cart and Sam loves it. Any time we are down stairs, he sets up his Lego shop at the table and has forgotten about all other toys. To quote Cousin Eddie from Christmas Vacation, "that's the gift that keeps giving...."
