We have a pretty good routine around here these days. There are some days where Sam doesn't feel like working the routine and does everything in his power to alter what I know we are about to do. My favorite part of the day around here is nap time. This is where I get a lot of work done during the day (since I work from home). Lately, Sam has found ways to work the system. He will say things like "read book" or "I need to go to potty" (not that we are anywhere near that point yet) or "sing song" or "I want go to timeout." I think it is kind of sad that he would rather go to timeout than to bed. Maybe when he is my age, he will think twice about that.
Sam definitely knows how to work his mommy and daddy. He knows the right things to say or do to make us melt and give in (even if it is a temporary lapse in judgement). I think we have our hands full. We are blessed to have such a wonderfully inventive little one on our hands.
